I mentioned yesterday that Glenyce Jane, our oldest granddaughter, is generally a willing subject. Irene (aka Ibby)? Not so much. My best chance is to catch her off guard or even looking away from the camera.
In this case Ibby was dressed and sitting for a formal portrait but she was not exactly willing or able to understand that I wanted a “natural” smile. Such smiles are really pretty hard to give when being asked to do it.
At one point, Ibby’s mom spoke to her and she looked away from my camera. It’s not a smile but this is the “real” Ibby.
