The name for the tree in the upper right is the "Lone Cypress" and it is the logo for Pebble Beach Resorts, which include the famous Pebble Beach Golf Links. But if you ask me, the tree is not exactly alone - I count at least 3 other cypresses keeping it company.
The photo was taken along the famous 17 Mile Drive on the Monterey Peninsula. There is a charge of $10 to go on the road, which winds past amazing homes, golf courses and views. If you do the math, that's only 58 cents per mile. Well worth it . . . .
