It may seem odd that my first post after returning from a sailing trip to the British Virgin Islands is a photo of a common sea gull and I guess it is. But I couldn't resist.
I like the color and markings of this bird and I like the subtle texture of it feathers. But most of all, I like the interesting bokeh and soft colors that show in the rippled Caribbean water behind him.
And, no, he wasn't really striking a pose here. He was waiting expectantly for another piece of Sun Chip.
