This photo was taken on May 19, 2014 and I had just launched Wandering Star. Winter had come and gone and we were ready for another season on beautiful Lake Oahe.
By my rough count, I am about 120 days away from repeating the cycle. Am I really counting the days until this happens? No. I try not to do that because it seems to imply that the days between now and later are somehow in the way. And we can't afford to think of our days like this.
And so I will look at this photo with fondness, imagine that I will be sailing again in near future, and get on with the important tasks of the day.
Job one? Go to Target to buy a new electric blanket. Deb's half isn't working. Oh, the joys of a South Dakota winter!
