19.02.12 Lighthouse - Puna Arena (Sea of Cortez)

If you turn your back on the scene I posted yesterday, this is more or less what you would see. It would be in color, of course. But the Ansel Adams in me said, “Try black and white.” I am no Ansel Adams, of course, but it doesn’t hurt to have aspirations, does it? I can’t tell you much about this spot except that at one time it was clearly manned. But today the lighthouse operates on its own and has three solar panels which, I assume, charge batteries that power the lights at night. I haven’t seen the light yet, but part of the problem is that I have been having a hard time staying up past 8:30 PM. In defense of that, I do wake up around 3 AM every morning. I could be a baker, I suppose. But not a light house keeper.
